If they are as slimy as everyone assumes, why would they not suggest a POSSIBLE reverse split to then have everyone sell low, therefore putting stocks back in their hands at a much much lower cost than they sold?

It makes business sense. Also, im fairly sure a company has every right to buy stock on the ASK. Those are free for anyone to buy.

The previous mention of no reverse split was from a news release that stated basically the same as this, that they weren't considering a RS. Considering and possibly are both open ended words. An not illegal as they stated it as an option and not a fact.
