I've read reviews saying 'Gold' was only mediocre, yet 97% of movie viewers still want to see it. I think McConaughey will pull it off although I doubt it'll be an award contender next year.

The Jennifer Lawrence film about Elizabeth Holmes / Theranos should be entertaining - she's been excellent in every film I've seen, establishing quite a presence in 'American Hustle'. I've heard Legendary Pictures bought the Theranos package for $3 million.
