It's the main reason you see peeps saying their order gets "bypassed"--it's usually not of sufficient size or some conditional order(like an AON)...

it's also one of the reasons NITE has the best/most executions--he being the major order flow MM in the OTC and thus a better chance for these type orders to get run into

a similar order at a small boutique broker may sit forever---at the bid(sell) or ask(buy) never a problem as long as sufficient size is there to fill...
