Spook - valid point. Intellectuals tend to have big egos in my experience. I consider you, td and dragon to be intellectual for instance, based on your ability to construct an argument and debate on these boards. I also infer from your ability to use correct grammar, spelling and syntax that you are above average intelligence as well.
At the same time when this group takes on a condescending tone or chooses to attack statements out of context to further support its trading goals it signals an arrogance born of huge ego, also, doesn't it? To believe that you can influence the opinion of lesser minded investors smacks of a monstrous ego, IMO.
And that's OK by me. I sincerely enjoy reading the posts of both longs and traders. Nothing wrong with looking at both sides of the story. No doubt I am biased, but no doubt where I stand. I have not wavered. And I now have a monstrous level of confidence because I have talked to the man and made a final judgement. It feels really good.
I won't be watching L2 as much anymore. I have a new plan for accumulation over the next 2 weeks while we are at these levels. I have a pretty good idea of how things might unfold between now and the end of the year.
I heard what the man had to say, when he said it and how he said it. It's difficult to emote with the written word, unfortunately. For instance, I know the look on Tony's face when he modified his comment on the time frame for big things to happen. Was it a contrived re-statement intended for us to repeat to the board? I doubt it. My read was that he wanted to differentiate that time line from another one we were discussing. We didn't tell all here as we committed not to.
Be that as it may, we have done our best to communicate what we learned. I have read most of novice's, greatful's and radean's posts and I do not see any attempt to manipulate pps by our statements. Of course we all are firmly on the long term side of the fence.
What I find interesting is that you, td and dragon think the company should respond to your type of attacking questions (or do you really?). You are not investors, you are traders. Why would the company give you fodder for which to ply your trade?
