I have always believed that for the AOT to be fully successful, it needs to be installed at every pumping station on a pipeline. This topic was discussed at length in January 2014 with Alkalinesolution1.

But - if every inch of every pipeline is to be covered, why is anyone going to make a purchase or lease until the appropriately comprehensive level of testing and fine tuning has been done ?

This is why we have not seen sales of the AOT. Companies have insisted on testing the AOT, refining the AOT, modifying the AOT. The financial commitment to equipping an entire pipeline is considerable and probably very intimidating for the company engineers to give this enormous installation their complete approval. Therefore, more test and no sales yet.

But, with the AOY-XL we are looking at a device that can be used as a solution to bottlenecks in the movement of crude oil. Loading and offloading crude oil from storage and tankers.

The XL is being designed specifically for facilities located offshore that offload tankers transporting large volumes of crude oil to gulf coast refineries. Space on these platforms is at a premium.

I think we will see testing and sales in 2017 of the AOT-XL, because it is a one unit purchase that will give them information on performance, maintenance and durability of the product.

As Whackywinston says :

The one off or bespoke installation sets a precedent for all the more complex installations of the future.
