Hmmmmmmm....... Speaking for myself . I'm not a "techie" type guy .. I can't remember nor spell all of the words used to describe the science of Geron . I read the pertinent posts and get the gist of all that's happening in Gerons world . Timely and informative .
But ...... Some folks have an agenda and keep bringing it to the board (s). I read 'em . I get pissed at some of the things that are said . I respond . Bingo !! Off topic .
Between PR's or news people get bored and end up putting forth their views on what's happening in the world we live in . Personalities are built up to the degree that you almost feel you "know" the individual posters . Texmac will always connect the science and politics . Woofs will always connect the media aspect .
Micro will downplay anything positive . Leo will make you laugh .
Chris will do his thing ( the sky is falling!! the sky is falling!! ) as will many others . Sam will make you think . The long lost Cancerfoe will give you confidence .
So you read through the crap , respond occasionally , and hopefully contribute on some level to the discussion whether it's politics or science .
I just keep sittin' on the dock ...watching the horizon for that Geron ship to appear with news of success that will inform the public about what WE already know , give hope to the hopelessly ill , and turn the medical industry upside down .
In the meantime I can put up with the soap opera taking place here and on Yahoo .
