Your right Jack I should have a little more horse sense but just so you know I placed that trade at market to test the stock and see what it would do with just 200 shares and thus my surprised comment. I don't care that I purchased 200 shares at that price but if it had been 20,000 shares I would not have made it an at market order. 200 shares is a drop in the bucket but regardless I am still surprised at how I alone was able to make the stock jump 11cents. Thus my question which wasn't answered, "why did my 200 shares make such a difference when for other similar stocks a buy order of 200 shares would barely move the price?" Can you answer that question? And please don't tell me it has to do with the number of outstanding shares and the current stock price and the number of shares bought because that seems off considering that this morning someone purchased 3500 shares and the stock jumped what just 2cents while my measly 200 shares made it jump 11cents.
