Back in the 9th grade I didn't take such a cerebral approach, but just wanted to dance and get laid to their primal, visceral early tunes "You really got me", etc. They were YUGE with me and some others plus the better club/garage bands covered them. I would have done whatever I could to catch their '65 tour, especially knowing it would be their last U.S. tour of the '60s. I started losing interest in the '70s in attending concerts with bathrooms covered in bubble gum colored puke due to copious amounts of Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill Wine, 'ludes, white crosses, black beauties, herbalicious fatties and God only knows what else

I luv vids of the period showing how we used to dance like this spazgroid (start around 1:54) dancing with that nice little jolie fille altho' I'd like to think my style was cooler than his ...but mebbe not.
