In the spirit of learning and growth in this New Year 2017, I feel there is an important take home lesson here. Obiterdictum, you summed it up eloquently and with intellectual acumen, and depth, and in good order and discipline. And, we are accustomed to expect it from you for sometime now:

"It seems to me the that such a belief could arise from two or more these interrelated conditions:

1) not hearing, not reading carefully what was said in video or written statement,
2) having no knowledge of the written press release and statement telling of the announcing and describing Paulson's actual plan that President Bush referred to
3) selectively choosing how to interpret terms without a basic factual basis thus misunderstanding or imagining incorrectly what was said,
4) and inaccurately substituting or mixing in terms that came into existence later with those found in the video at that time to create a "belief that Paulson played a primary role in the FHFA's creation."

All of this can be reversed with careful attention to detail and diligent research."

It's a tough challenge to most of us. But the point is very well taken, Obi. Thank you. A very Happy New Year 2017 to you and all.
