yes...imagine if he were buying up the shares and without any announcements would that encourage or discourage sell offs and shorting?

Another question, someone previously posted that by placing sell orders at a high price it would reflect badly because it would give the appearance many are trying to get out - but many years back someone posted if we all did that then the shares in our accounts would not be available to be borrowed by those shorting .. what's your take on that strategy?
