Odds are very. very high that he's at one of two Federal contracted HWH in the Bay Area: one in the shittiest part of SF - I think it's on Larkin or Taylor in the heart of the Tenderloin - worst 'hood in the city.

The other HWH is in Oakland, I think near Jack London Square - much nicer 'hood, butt then again you're in Oakland, working an Oakland yobb and riding AC Transit buses with the Oakland rabble.

It's a tossup which one is worse. I guess I'd prefer the SF Tenderloin dump. Shure you're gonna gett bedbugs and the lodging is just awful, butt you might gett a yobb in a decent place - maybe a sammich shop in the Financial District, selling/collecting boat ride tickets at Fisherman's Wharf, or washing dishes in a North Beach restaurant.

Oakland? Uggg. No, just no. Even Jack London Square. Nope. No way. Downtown Oaktown is grim death, baby. Can't imagine working at a Burger King downtown on a night shift as a white guy. Much safer in prison, even medium/supermax level.

Hell, much safer in Korengal Valley, Afghanistan wearing a Merrikun flag on yer back than being a middle-aged white dude in downtown Oaktown after dark.
