Check the datasheet on page 69 of 112. Look at the top box.

"define a 2^36 byte physical memory address"

Intel just blew any arguments right out of the water. So you think that Intel is so utterly clueless? No! The one who is utterly clueless is yourself.

Everyone else who bothered to read the relevant sections of Intel's "Dual Core Xeon Processor 5100 Series Datasheet" has agreed with mas that Woodcrest, Conroe and Merom have a 36 bit physical address. Even the Processor Description from a Xeon 5150 Linux server box stated that addressing was "36 bit physical, 48 bit virtual". How much more evidence do you need?
