Things have changed in Myanmar....

"Motorcycle taxis lurk near hotels and on city corners. Expect to pay K1000 for a short hop, K1500 across the centre, and K10,000 for all-day hire within Mandalay (or K15,000 including Amarapura, Inwa and Sagaing); double these rates for a regular taxi. The following drivers speak decent English.

$11.00 for K15000
