Maybe....but it seems reasonable to me that at $150 per MM taxi operators would buy some. If they are a MM Dealer and lock a local market with MM, they would make big bucks reselling MM.

Every other forms of Taxi's have meters- except mortorcycles!

Motorcycle Taxi Meters certainly makes sense to me, that's why the patents could be so valuable to Uber....IMHO
