I wouldn't buy a leveraged Index investment. Plenty of them exist with various levels of leverage. They introduce several types of risk. Also leveraged funds have vastly higher expenses than 0.05%. They may be useful for certain types of hedging, but not for sensible retirement investing.

Berkshire Hathaway's structure is about 40% debt, which is modest leverage. Buffett could easily/cheaply increase that if he wanted to, but he's content with that level of risk.

I wouldn't trust investing tips from IHUBers. Most are thrill seeking gambling addicts, or idiots trying to get rich or get out of debt quickly. Few IHUBers have much money. Some have committed suicide from financial problems brought on by dumb investing.

The level of expertise is generally far higher over at Seeking Alpha.
