hardly any AD scientist believes in the sink hypothesis

Well, someone at LLY must have at the time smile

But seriously, I can see why the hypothesis was appealing - all it takes is to reduce a-beta levels in the periphery with an antibody or a BACE1 inhibitor, no need to penetrate the BBB to hit the target - decreasing deposited a-beta in the brain.
