My wife tricked me this last weekend and we ended up at Pet Smart as luck would have it they were having a dog adoption - my wife had already talked to the people in charge and had a dog picked out for me - she said just carry him around the store and hold him a while - it was a rotten trap but while my wife was filling out the papers I bolted and told her it's not the dog it's me I am just not ready for another dog right now. I still have a fox terrier at home and that's enough for now -actually it really made me miss old Ringo pretty bad - I did get his banner this week and I wrapped it for my wife from Ringo to both of us and put it under the tree. Ok I survive the puppy trap then yesterday my wife tells me I have been petting this cat at the store where I get coffee every morning for the last 6 months and I am bringing it home he was born on the streets and would like a home -OMG this guy has been living on the streets and may not take kindly to being restrained or have a dog trying to kill it every second of the day. I would have rather taken the dog jeeze - she finally came to her senses and did not pick up the cat. I asked her please lets just get through Christmas before we do any pet changes. I know I will get another dog not sure when right now.
