Los Angeles proper...ie not county but actually Los Angeles...I'm in the area next to Hollywood referred to as Los Feliz. We border Griffith Park...largest urban park in the USA. The Los Angeles Zoo is there, the Griffith Park Observatory, wildlife sanctuaries etc. Beautiful area with a birdseye view of all of Los Angeles, ocean, Catalina Island, San Bernardino mountains....you'll see one day when you come to Los Angeles!
