Myth, now I like the Travelling Wilbury probably s'much as just bout anyone...and its a real nice version of Nobody's Child you posted....and they certainly have lots more songs that I like.

BUT, overall, I think they are way overproduced by Jeff Lynne. I think a more down home sound woulda been better, although maybe wouldnt had as many hits. I mean...and I do like some of their songs....but you cant get much more overproduced than Lynne's ELO. And the saddest thing, imo, is when Lynne managed to get hold of Tom Petty's turntable, and he ELOdified some of his albums. I think that was sad. I mean how much better would Frefallin and even I Wont Back Down be if Lynne hadnt of extracted all the character out of Petty's sound.

Now, again, I like Lynne, his music etc. And he can definitely produce hits, and they do sound good. But I do think he tends to extract character and soul in favor of voice modulation, echo, formulaic standards, and a finger snapping beat. A little too Stepford Wivesy for me.
