I defer to JTFM and others on this board for knowledge on anything related to FDA and the drug approval process. However, I'm pretty sure this is caught in patent fight hell right now as apposed to being stuck at the FDA. Hopefully someone will point out if I am mistaken about this.

As far as fixing the FDA goes: I'm all for appointing some knowledgeable, qualified, non-conflicted people to take a look at safely improving the FDA. That being said, so far it turns out that "draining the swamp" meant something quite a bit different that what I thought it meant. So I guess we'll what jumpstarting the FDA process ends up meaning.
