Former Mexican President Felipe Calderón hotted up violence in Mexico with his US funded war on drug cartels which resulted in the murder of 60,000 officials and police who opposed the drug cartels.

I'm not sure it's fair to call Calderón's government corrupt simply because he accepted US aid and direction in fighting the drug cartels.

Canada helped by giving refugee status to these police and governmental officials, until 2010 PM Steohen Harper sent them back to be killed by the cartels. Many think Harper is a corrupt politician who accepted a bribe from the Mexican cartels to send these officials back to their death - a not unreasonable conclusion.

The current Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, has ended the war on the cartels, so using your flawed logic he is far less corrupt than Calderón who accepted US aid.

Drug cartels have continued to operate in America during the tenure of the past eight US Presidents. You have to wonder why Americans continue to accept their corrupt government which allows American drug cartels to fluorish.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
