Still wearing your Top Hat? Get a grip...let's all go back in time and pretend that the state of science and economic development is where it was in 1900.

How you compare the success of immigrants coming to the USA in 1900 to immigrants coming to the USA in 2006 (as though the situations are the same is ridiculous). Education does in fact matter as does intellectual ability. If you think uneducated or poorly educated immigrants are going to do just fine.....find them a railroad to build. Oh gee that doesn't work today; tracks are laid using automated track laying equipment...well duh! Well maybe we can put'em to work in the steel mills, or perhaps IBM, CSCO, INTC etc...etc..will employ them.

Yup Ergo your right.....they'll do just fine.
