The article underscores the importance of P53. Repaired and activated P53 optimizes cellular function by repairing DNA and if the DNA can not be repaired it begins the biochemical pathway leading to cell death ,apoptosis.It is this mechanism which helps prevent cancer from developing.

Kevetrin ,by activating P53, has the promise of not only being an anti cancer agent but also seems to enhance the effects of other cancer therapies such as chemotherapy and radiation.

Testicular, cancer even stage 4 disease, is curable by chemotherapy. Lance Armstrong is a great example of a patient who was cured of stage 4 cancer by chemotherapy. Now we may know why. Testicular cancer has intact p53 which assists the effect of chemotherapy.

The upcoming Kevetrin Ovarian Cancer trial for patients with advanced drug resistant Ovarian cancer will couple Kevetrin with standard chemotherapy,Doxorubicin, The trial will test the hypothesis Kevetrin by optimizing P53 has a synergistic benefit in the treatment of cancer. If the trial is successful look for Kevetrin trials in scores of different cancers.
