The 8k in itself states that nothing will be announced or published until the merger is complete.

If the merger is in fact "not" going to happen, that would be a material event and announcement would have to be made to state such event.

The R/S is common with reverse mergers. Pixelmags goal is to uplist onto NASDAQ. A R/S will be necessary in order to do so.

I recommend reading up a bit more. Evidence shows that the merger is in fact moving forward. Also, mergers take time, and some don't meet their intended time lines due to many factors.
