FURBAR... IMO "bid whacking" is a professional gambit by someone wanting shares (lots of shares)... knock the pps down with minimum
sell (scare tactic) then hope to buy a bunch for pittance. And patience is evident as sometimes bigger blocks don't seem to materialize until the next day or the next. The bid whacking has been going on for how long now? Weeks... n'est pas?
