It is hard to gage Disney. They are up (for now) after disappointing earnings and there seem to be more headlines with the same old line "ESPN disappoints" and very few optimistic reviews. Is DIS really getting a handle on the ESPN issues with these new technologies that they investing in? I guess the future will tell. On a different issue, I believe that Nielson did a sloppy job of analyzing the ESPN subscriber numbers. They took the easy way out by not trying to understand the real definition of subscriber numbers and gave a distorted view of the ESPN losses IMO.
