First we get paid twice. ie from the clay and then a percentage (probably fairly small) from the resale price.
I have possibly missunderstood but this is my take
We sell clay to company abc for $1000 per ton. Plus possibly allow them to use one of our patented processes.
They make a nano product ie Paint. They sell there nano paint in bulk to a DIY outlet for x million of which we get a small percentage. (say equiv to 1-2k per ton)
WHY do it this way ?
Just a guess but the clay is cheaper to buy in the first instance and the extra is only payable when you have received the income from your paint product.
The second thing I draw from this is that these contracts have already been written ... Why else mention them ???
Thoughts anyone
