Wick, just back from 11 day vacation to the Michigan Upper Peninsula, and missed 2 golf league days while I was gone. I had no chance to try anything as we were camping and traveling the whole time. I will be practicing in my yard and try the range if possible. This thursday I'll be back on the green so I can repost back friday.

I was given a persimmons driver by an old (he said he was) pga pro named Ernie Bergess (sp) 20 years ago, extended shaft and used it exclusively until last year when the hovel(?) broke. I should have put it on my antiques wall instead before I broke it.
I'm still kicking myself for not putting that up. I found a metal head at a garage sale and installed it on a shaft like the broken one. I think my persim' had 'Nicklaus' name on it.
I made it to a couple state long drive competitions with the old driver... people made fun of it until I hit my 3 balls down the middle and +270 avg... my longest was 310. So I'm looking forward to anything new to bring that back.
