Who in this country talks like that, though. I would say that key isn't even an American or hasn't been here long. We Americans call it going to college. I went to college. I did not go to University. Nobody says that. If I were going to use the word 'university', I would say "I went to a university". It wasn't a typo because he's said it about 20 times in numerous posts. I know there are certain countries that call it university instead of college, but the U.S. isn't one of them.
