RIG- up 10%. Transocean Ltd. (RIG) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $229 million.
The Vernier, Switzerland-based company said it had profit of 62 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 25 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 15 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 14 cents per share.
