HOUSTON - A man was arrested this month after a good Samaritan spotted him stealing a woman’s purse in north Houston and alerted authorities while following him home, deputies said .

Deputies said the robbery happened about 7:51 p.m. on Oct. 21 inside a parking lot in the 7500 block of FM 1960 West.

A woman told deputies that she was standing beside her vehicle when the robber, identified as Buford Bjorklund, 46, grabbed her purse, car keys and threatened her before he fled, deputies said.

According to deputies, a good Samaritan heard the woman scream during the robbery and quickly reacted by following Bjorklund while on the phone with authorities.
