death, thanks for the reply. I was thinking more of the effect lower tax revenues would have any local government to maintain infrastructure and services. If values drop as much as 50% in some areas, the resulting revenue base for the municipality drops, possibly ending up in a spiral downward further reducing prices.
Good reason to live in an area that has not shown as much appreciation/over-valuation.
