Did they really think they could get away with it? Can they get away with it? If the assets are there for this company to make good on their debts, then why would they be able to file bankruptcy? Furthermore, if they have assets like have been described, why is there any question to the common stocks being honored and not thrown away? Not trying to be naive, just trying to understand.
