Yes, right now the only way to get continuous dopaminergic drug delivery is with a pump, implanted surgically for duodenal delivery (Abbvie's DuoDopa), or Neuroderm now has a subcutaneous pump delivery system undergoing trials: http://neuroderm.com/

Wouldn't you rather just have a quick procedure to implant under ths skin once every 6 months instead of popping pills every 3 hours, or for continuous delivery - refilling syringes daily or having surgery?

The only problem I foresee is that some of the movement disorders doctors I work with don't like ropinirole. Some think the best dopamine agonist is apomorphine. I'm not sure how they decided which agonist to use.
