November 2016 2.50 call option example- triple your money with the same price performance

Current price 3.25
Option price 2.5
In the money. .75
Premium. .25
Cost per share. 1.00 vs 3.25
Or you can purchase 3.2 times the amount of shares with the call option

$3,250. Is 1,000 shares

However

For $3250 you can purchase 32 options or 3,200 shares -- and they can be sold on or before November 18, 2016

So if it goes up to four dollars a share after we announce our excellent quarter that would be worth $3,200 increase for the options versus only $1000 for the share purchase

This is not stock advice but merely an example of how someone might use stock options to maximize gains. check with your own advisers before doing any trades
