gfp: I have been buying ammo periodically. I need some more .22 LR for my break down Ruger .22. I have plenty of .380. I may pick up another 1000 of the 9 mm. Even if she doesn't outlaw bullets outright the witch will tax them or limit the amount you can purchase per year. In the event of a financial collapse the country could end up in any number of plausible scenarios, maybe not Mad Max level of depravity but the inner cities and anywhere the ghetto trash can get to by bus, train or car are going to be dangerous. I'm glad Austin is a very non violent city for its size. We have as many murders in a year as Chicago has in any given 3 day weekend. And our subdivision only has two points to enter and leave. We could cordon off our hood with 6 parked vehicles and a handful of armed men. And I would venture to guess this being Texas that most of my neighbors have weaponry of various kinds and know how to use them. I will be accumulating sone Mountain Home packets of freeze dried foods in case of an EMP attack or some other calamity that shuts down the Internet and thus the supply chains for our grocery stores. We can survive a winter without heat or electricity down here. It wouldn't be comfortable but it wouldn't be life threatening. Can't say the same for our far northerly brethren. But come summer it would be almost unlivable without AC. I have no illusions. I'm going to prepare to be able to live 3-6 months after a collapse. If things aren't somewhat under control by then then we're totally fucked and what's the point of trying to continue at that point?
