TEXT OF LETTER JUST SENT TO MAURICE BENNETT

Mr. Bennett,

I am the publisher of Our-Street.com and for the moment I am going to assume I am one of the “appropriate persons” you asserted might have an “appropriate action” filed against them at an “appropriate time”. If this is the case, let me once again make the same offer to you that I have made privately and publicly.

I have always maintained that my reports are accurate to the best of my ability and knowledge. I clearly state on my website that if I have inadvertently published any inaccurate or misleading information I will promptly correct the error upon being provided with the correct information properly documented. I will also publicly apologize for the error in a font equal in size to the original error.

Furthermore, I have offered publicly to publish any statement other than a personal attack against me that Mr. Harris might wish to provide which responds to my reports. To date, I have received nothing from Mr. Harris or any of his representatives in response to this standing offer. As you can clearly see, we most certainly don’t harbor any malicious intent were errors to exist as we will correct them as quickly as they are pointed out to us. Despite being critical of what we see going on, our commitment is to accurately report facts and opinions and to carefully make distinctions between the two.

It would seem appropriate that prior to filing an appropriate action against me at an appropriate time that Mr Harris or his appropriate representative respond to my appropriate offer in an appropriate manner so that I can take appropriate action within an appropriate time frame and in a manner that is appropriate to the situation.
