Hey Mark, I always enjoy your posts. Always informative. I grabbed this little snipit from the last one..

Renewables still make up only a fraction of the US power supply – 8% this year. That’s expected to grow to 9% next year, and the biggest driver of that growth is solar.



One thing that bothers me about this is way back when Jimmy Carter was the president, he had a very friendly green energy plan and even installed solar panels on the roof of the White House. Before it was implemented, Reagan won the next election and reversed everything that Carter did. Reagan even removed the solar panels. Ironically, some of them are on display in China to this very day.

I believe that if Carters plan had been put in place, we would have achieved his vision of being green and at 20% renewable by the year 2000. If that were the case, think where we would be today. I feel we went backwards about 30 years when that happened.
