The system is slow to protect the innocent

The system is likely too slow

But the other choice would be a RUSH to Judgement where many innocent would be slammed

Our judicial system - especially the criminal system - is designed to protect the innocent

I will take slow over wrong

And I would not equate slow with corrupt in any fashion
