Note to Trump, don't lie to the moderator when he asked you a question you had previously answered in the affirmative.

Fox’s Wallace Allows Trump To Lie About Nuclear Weapons Comments That Were Made On Wallace’s Fox News Show

During the October 19 presidential debate hosted by Fox News’ Chris Wallace, Wallace permitted Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to deny past comments supporting the proliferation of nuclear weapons -- even though Trump made those comments on Wallace’s Fox News Sunday in April.

When Trump accused Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton of lying about comments he had made supporting the spread of nuclear weapons to more countries, Clinton responded, “I’m just quoting you.” Trump replied, “you’re not going to find a quote from me. … I didn’t say nuclear” weapons. After the exchange, Wallace asked to move on to the topic of the economy.

But in fact, Trump did encourage nuclear proliferation on Wallace’s own Sunday news show. As a June 2 CNN article explained:

[I]n an April interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News, Trump said, "It's not like, gee whiz, nobody has them. So, North Korea has nukes. Japan has a problem with that. I mean, they have a big problem with that. Maybe they would in fact be better off if they defend themselves from North Korea."

Wallace asked, "With nukes?"

"Including with nukes, yes, including with nukes," Trump responded.
