But does that mean he is "in charge"

No.

Kim is in charge.

Now this is JMO but the agreement with CSC says we have to hire Ben. It doesnt say we have to use him.

If I needed the money and Ben was part of the deal I would give him his shares and let him sit at starbucks giving non-answers to emails and calls.

Ben is "in charge" of nothing.
He releases the stories Kim gives him.

If he put out the video it would have Ben as a contact number.
Where they can call him and he can answer the phone and take a message if its important like any secretary does.
