This is a good catch. There are too many CEO's out there that wildly throw out "ideas" or "thoughts" and do not realize the implications to their shareholders. To them, it is just an idea or thought, but to investors who are not inside his head, it is much more. Inevitably the idea or thought never comes to fruition and it leaves investors with a sour taste in their mouth, unable to fully trust the CEO going further (all because of a harmless comment).

The respect I have for CEO's who are able to refrain from this type of talk and show something for everything they say is 100%. This shows maturity in leadership.
