They(our elected officials) opposed Trump being admitted to the Country Club hence the hostile takeover tactics. I think they thought he would just fade away but they did rewrite the rules for small business status and his attys know how to get around the laws/regulations they have enacted. He(Trump)may be alot of things, dumb is not one of them
