From the Farinia site dated September this year. Additionally, they are actively pursuing the European automotive industry. I anticipate this will be a big hitter for SGLB in Europe.

All the best,
Silversmith

Last year, Spartacus3D started its way on the route to the EN 9100 certification, the assurance for aerospace contractors that our quality management system complies with their quality requirements.

Today, we are thrilled to announce we successfully achieved this goal. July 26, our quality management system was independently audited and awarded the official certificate.

What does EN 9100 mean to Spartacus3D and its clients?

EN 9100 is required by aerospace contractors as the evidence a quality management system complies with the stringent quality requirement specific to the aerospace sector.

For Spartacus3D, it’s a great achievement to obtain this certification in less than 2 years. The real challenge was not only that we, as a start-up, are a small and young organization, but also because metal additive manufacturing is also nascent and innovative.

This certification demonstrates the seriousness with which Spartacus3D addresses its development to series production.

“We believe that adopting a strong quality management system, in line with Aerospace requirements is a strategic imperative and forms a solid foundation to support our future growth.” says Charles de Forges, General Manager of Spartacus3D. “I am pleased to see the positive impact our Quality Management System has had at every level of our organization, and thank our staff for their involvement and relentless efforts for continuous improvement.”

And now that we’re certified, what’s next?

A quality management system must continually evolve, based on indicators established and by addressing incidents, discrepancies and quality drifts.

This certification is a beginning, not an end! We are already working to prepare for the surveillance audit expected within a year.

"We have built a great relationship with Sigma Labs through the Early Adopter program. PrintRite3D® is already helping us in the monitoring of our production runs, and we think that it will be a must have for serial production. Therefore we have decided to share that experience with others and we welcome any company in our facility for a visit and a demo, or even better for a dedicated evaluation program." said Charles de Forges, Managing Director of Spartacus3D.
