what is this stocks 101, just kidding, wasn't meant to be mean, my hands are killing me from the typing but am happy to answer your questions honestly, mm's can sell to whom ever they please and mm's are allowed to own their own shares in a stock, what the mm's do is sell shares to another mm for say a .05 less, then the mm who bought sells shares back for the same price, never decreasing the amount they own, they do that enough and other invsetors will join in, once the momentum builds they no longer have to do that and they let the momentum take it down, or up, they look at intraday real time charts and when they see the momentum slow, they start scooping up shares on the cheap, there are no controls for this especially in the pinks, the shorts are the mm's, they have control for the reasons stated above, the only thing that can trump that is seriuos news, if they want to take it down but news comes out they may have to play with the market if they can't pressure it back down, sometimes you will see a stock put out news after news and the pps still goes down, sometimes some big player wants shares real bad and will get the mm's to bring it down, that may not be legal, but it goes on all the time, sometimes if you monitor the trades you will see their markers, a buy for 100, 200, 300 shares etc, investing in stocks is a game to them and if you want to make money you need to learn their game or you get left holding the bag until they play your stock again
