Here's a theory....
A company maintains contact with a select few shareholders to feed them information about an upcoming LOC and other tidbits, but refrains from issuing a PR to the investment community.
Then, when things don't quite go exactly to plan, shareholders start turning against each other, which takes the onus off the company to deliver.
Does this theory ring true to even the slightest degree? If so, does any company come to mind?
