Fluke, I only posted it here. I'm not sure I have an accurate understanding of gasoline distributors, so I'm happy for someone else to correct me:

I believe gasoline distributors typically buy wholesale wherever they can get the best deal (chevron gas might have been refined at a BP refinery, etc). There may be certain proprietary additives that make the generic stuff into "Chevron" gas. I expect the ethanol business to shape up that way if it hasn't already done so.

Anyway, I don't think there's any opportunity for a direct deal with Wal-Mart since FFI already has a deal with Eco-Energy. Take another look at the FFI "mission statement". Usually, I hate missions statements with a burning passion because they're meaningless. This one has big words for a fly-speck on the OTCBB.

"""Our mission is to become the leading low-cost producer of ethanol in the U.S. and international markets through the transformation of society's wastes into alternative fuels and establishing new pathways to energy independence."""

Their activities convince me that they're serious about it and indirectly, Wal-Mart will be getting a big portion of their E85 from FFI.
