Review by the patent office has nothing to do with whether a product can be actually manufactured. It has nothing to do with practicality of the invention. And it certainly has nothing to do with viability and or value of the idea.

I can patent a slingshot to launch people from city to city for personal transportation to replace air travel. But would that be practical? It doesn't matter to the patent office.

I can patent a car that folds up into a briefcase like George Jetson's. But can I actually make one? It doesn't matter to the patent office.

I can patent an electric nose picker. Would anyone buy it? It doesn't matter to the patent office.

The patent office only determines whether someone previously had patented an idea... that's it!
