I don't understand short sellers right now.

What hole in the earth do you live in to come with these grand delusions of horror? Look around you, look at what's happening in the world, and you will see that a number of states are voting on the legalization of a drug that can fundamentally change the landscape of the market.

Even if only 1 of those states pass, 1 is still greater than nothing. One will still add real life value to the market and open up interest from everyone from tech, real estate, agriculture, finance, to pharma investors.

If you are buying now, you are coming to the realization early that the market is going to hit a high when news of the election results comes and at least one of the states voting passes, which is highly likely. If you are shorting, it is because you think that none of the states will pass, which is highly unlikely.

This is not a gamble, it's a real world change in the market with real world consequences and you would be wise to take advantage of it now.
