ahasja....this just goes to show the recent buying is not shorts covering and is new acquisition. Its what Fabius and I were discussing as to the importance of lowering the float of available shares. if I buy and hold 1 million shares it now removes those shares from float. at which point it puts more pressure on the price. your data proves this. the short interest is still holding at 1.18 million shares but now those shares represent 30% its because there are becoming less and less shares available. Does that make sense?

The "34.24%" ist just the percentage of the daily volume - so there was a volume of 587,800 and 201,282 were shorts = 34,24%.But soon NASDAQ will publish the short interests numbers and we will know more, at least for the period until End September.

What you write about, someone buying big time = lowering the float is right. And I think, that the last buying spikes are definetly also shares, that will be hold long. But I guess, that a significant number of the volume is also shorts covering. But that is just guessing. We will see. Either way, the SP action looks good and TA shows the way to above 3$.
